LE GRAND COUTURIER

Le Grand Couturier is an experimental music group mainly inspired by Hawaiian and Polynesian music, to create forms confronting idioms of this music (20th century Hawaiian songs, Polynesian prayers, Tiki pop) with synthetic and electric materials. Creating contrasts, the music of the Grand Couturier evokes the gap between the carefreeness attributed to this music in the American dream and the violence of the contemporary world.
