PHOQUE EVENTRE
Yann Joussein: drums, electronics, voice, recorder
The taste of sound atmospheres a little wild, electric tears and chaotic rhythmic chaos. In disc this project is called maliciously "Seal disemboweled", live it is much less barbaric and especially it is the discovery of an unheard sound universe and strongly original.
Listened to as a poetic recital, his two pieces of a little less than an hour are a speech, a course, rockets, furies, and suddenly some secret that slips into a troubling minimalism.
Francis Marmande, The World
Yann Joussein presented yesterday his solo album "Phoque éventré". Raw drums, even noisy, binary rhythms, rock energy, elementary chords distorted by a kind of bass station, howling sirens Yann Joussein pulls a micro-contact wedged between the teeth, crash metal from another micro- contact fixed on a cymbal, post-industrial sound post-crisis atmospheres, from overconsumption, capitalism collapsed when everything was consumed, cold sweats in the face of a world without perspective. "You overinterpret Raymond. Crap! Yann, he takes you on a boat, "meows in a yawn Sigmund who repositioned himself and surrendered his belly to the air. Yan Joussein finishes his concert of a recorder that plays the frayed line of "Disemboweled Seal" already heard at Mirror. Redemption or overinterpretation?
