TRIBALISM3

Based on minimalist repetitive music influenced by figures like Tony Conrad and Terry Riley, Tribalism3 explores forms derived from experimental music. Blending electronic music drawn from sound synthesis with rhythms evoking both Javanese gamelans and North African blues, the trio "Tribalism3" continues its journey, which began in 2018, with Olivia Scemama on electric bass, Luca Ventimiglia on synthesizers, and Yann Joussein on drums and compositions. The music is designed to carry the listener away over an extended duration. Inspired by electronic artists such as Ryoji Ikeda and Alva Noto, Nordic influences like the Norwegian groups UltraLyd or Staer, as well as the British band Beak and the American group Deerhoof, the fusion of styles and the individual playing techniques of each trio member create a unique trance.
