With violence and poetry, Tendresse speaks to us of tomorrow&mdash;of the possibility of friendship, encounter, care, love, and revolution within atomized societies crushed by oppressive systems, algorithmic omnipotence, the abuse of bodies, and enforced silence. Must we consent to plunge toward hell? How do we straighten our bodies? How do we make words dance on our lips before they burn the depths of our souls? Tripes keeps light as its guide, and through Tendresse asks us this final, simple, essential question: &ldquo;How are you?&rdquo;

Tripes garde la lumière comme guide, et à travers Tendresse nous pose cette dernière question, simple et essentielle: « Comment vas-tu? »

TRIPES 'Tendresse'

The album, titled « Même le singe tombe de l&rsquo;arbre », refers to a Japanese proverb meaning that nobody is perfect. Unlike purely electronic music, the group offers a fusion of acoustic and synthesized sounds &mdash; a challenge both live and in the studio. This blend, far from natural, gives the music a living quality and, consequently, an element of imperfection.
Across the seven tracks of this project, Tribalism 3 remains true to the direction of its previous albums while exploring its own vision of the tribal. Inspired by Yann Joussein&rsquo;s numerous Franco-Japanese tours and collaborations, the theme of Japanese proverbs naturally emerged to illustrate the album.
« Les gâteaux tombent de l&rsquo;étagère » means that luck can smile even on those who don&rsquo;t expect it, while « Si tu es pressé, fais un détour » suggests that it is wiser to take a long and safe route than an unknown shortcut.

TRIBALISM3 'Même le singe tombe de l'Arbre'

L'album, intitulé « Même le singe tombe de l'arbre », fait référence à un proverbe japonais signifiant que personne n&rsquo;est parfait. Contrairement à la musique purement électronique, le groupe propose une fusion d&rsquo;acoustique et de sons de synthèse, un défi tant en live qu&rsquo;en studio. Ce mélange, loin d&rsquo;être naturel, rend la musique vivante et, de fait, imparfaite. À travers les sept morceaux de ce projet, Tribalism 3 reste fidèle à la direction des albums précédents, tout en explorant sa propre vision du tribal. Inspiré des nombreuses tournées et collaborations franco-japonaises de Yann Joussein, la thématique des proverbes japonais s&rsquo;est imposée pour illustrer l&rsquo;album. « Les gâteaux tombent de l&rsquo;étagère » signifie que la chance sourit même à ceux qui ne l&rsquo;attendent pas, ou « Si tu es pressé, fais un détour » veut dire qu&rsquo;il est plus prudent de prendre un chemin long et sûr qu&rsquo;un raccourci inconnu.

Imagine a sound adventure, where the collective of musicians COAX merges with the vibrant spirit of the Groupe d'Entraide Mutuelle de Montreuil, a mental health peer-aid structure nicknamed "Les Gens du 110".

The bustling heterogeneous team explores new sound territories, inspired by a series of workshops at GEM, among sculptures, frescoes, odds and ends, cries and laughter. Recording sessions follow. collectives at the Caracol studio in Montreuil, which gave birth to a series of new pieces, compiled, mixed and arranged by Simon Henocq and Antoine Viard.

But the story does not end there ! The artistic sensitivity of this unlikely union finds an echo during a passionate concert at the Sonic Protest Festival, illuminating the hall of La Parole Errante. Both poignant and delirious, the pieces will seduce the label La Belle Brute which joins the adventure and co-produces the album with Coax Records, on vinyl and on all platforms. A beautiful disc simply titled 'GEM', to be released on December 1, 2023, will be presented and discussed with its protagonists during the radio gathering 12:24-24:12 at Instants Chavir&eacute;s on December 9, 2023.

We are already in the 21st century and everything is still to be done. As the main song of the upcoming album says, based on an ostinato of repetitive analog synthesizesr and an endless loop of drums, &ldquo;You can do it&rdquo;. &ldquo;Free the music&rdquo; composed using a synthetic Indian tampoura and a rhythmless drum pattern is a perfect slogan to say that if I can do it, so can you. An ironic way of drawing a parallel with the methods we use today to produce sound.

This album was recorded at the Performing Art Forum, a former convent that has become a performance and creation venue. Its multiple spaces are full of stories that resonate in the present, we can feel history through every wall. The sound imprints and acoustics, reproduced in detail, are constitutive of the music and have accompanied the musicians gestures and improvisations throughout the recordings. The progression of the pieces, each inspired by the place in which they were improvised, is the mark of this desire for elasticity affirmed in the title of the album: Gummi, meaning 'elastic' in German.

GUMMI

Cet album a été enregistré à Performing Art Forum, ancien couvent devenu lieu de performance. Ses multiples espaces regorgent d'histoires qui résonnent dans le présent, se répercutent au travers des murs. Les empreintes sonores, restituées dans le détail, sont constitutives de la musique jouée, tant elles ont accompagné les gestes et improvisations, jusqu&rsquo;à parfois occuper le premier plan. Le cheminement des pièces, chacune inspirée du lieu dans lequel elle s'est improvisée, est la marque de ce désir d'élasticité affirmé dans le titre de l&rsquo;album : Gummi, l&rsquo;élastique en allemand.

Agora nous plonge dans la jungle de l&rsquo;imp&eacute;dance. Une jungle&nbsp;o&ugrave; l&rsquo;air est sec et moite et&nbsp;o&ugrave; les arbres, d'un vert un peu trop &eacute;clatant, brulent de l&rsquo;int&eacute;rieur. Cr&eacute;pitant sous nos pas, la route nous d&eacute;voile quelques ombres au milieu de la boue, dansant &agrave; claquette. La panne y est notre v&eacute;hicule, la tension &eacute;lectrique notre s&egrave;ve. Trained as a visual artist and after graduating from the School of Fine Arts in Rouen (France) where he made installations and performances, Jean-Fran&ccedil;ois Riffaud gradually turned himself towards music. Having attended for ten years both alternative networks, as well as SMAC, Jazz clubs and national scenes within various groups (Syntax Error, Electric Vocuhila, Parquet, ABACAXI, The World), he elaborates in 2020 &ldquo;BETEL&rdquo;, a minimal piece for electric guitar that synthesizes its &ldquo;plastic&rdquo; way of considering the musical act.

Influenced as much by Tony Conrad, John Fahey, Moondog and Morton Subotnik as by electric music from sub-Saharan Africa (Sunny Ade, Flamme Kapaya, Alick Macheso, Japanese Maladi), he uses repetition of patterns and their &ldquo;mutation&rdquo; to take the listener into an initiatory experience, a sound and mental sculpture.

La Peuge in May was born out of the desire to link the workers' struggles of spring 1968 with the contemporary research of improvisers and composers.
One Friday afternoon in September 2016, I decided to record a conversation with my maternal grandparents around certain episodes of their life in which I had a great interest: their childhood during the Second World War, their working conditions in as workers in Peugeot factories, their experience of strikes and union struggles.
From this spontaneous and apparently aimless interview - if not to keep a record - was born the desire to know more about the episode of May 68 in the region of Montb&eacute;liard: strikes, occupations of factories, demonstrations. I have set up a system for recording interviews with other former workers, activists or union officials, increasing the number of meetings and discussions around the spring of 68 and the Peugeot center in the country. of Montb&eacute;liard.
After a first selection of rushes, I called on the radio director C&eacute;cile Laffon to edit these voices so that I could improvise and compose music while relating the May 68 episode told by the workers.
With the musicians of La Peuge En Mai we then mixed our music with these voices.

J&rsquo;ai mis en place un dispositif d&rsquo;enregistrement d'entretiens avec d&rsquo;autres ancien.ne.s ouvriere.s, militant.e.s ou responsables syndicaux, multipliant les rencontres et les &eacute;changes autour du printemps 68 et du centre Peugeot du pays de Montb&eacute;liard. Dix Ailes is a musical proposal for 2 female voices, 1 percussionist, 1 electronic device and 1 place with high reverberation. Between minimalist music and pure pop, Dix Ailes plays on an acoustic illusion, that of making indistinguishable the origin of the sound (instrumental, loudspeaking or architectural), based on work on harmonics, frequency vibrations, the physical resonance of the place, psycho-acoustics.
 Essentially centered on the voice, Dix Ailes addresses the notions of empty and full, of internal listening and silence, of liminarity and transformation. By a principle of initial composition based on symbols and archetypes, the music of Dix Ailes echoes universal rituals and myths, and shares with them a language that tempts to escape the sequences of rational logic, and thus to open up to an contemporary poetic landscape, made of archaic and invisible.

DIX AILES

Dix ailes est une proposition musicale pour 2 voix f&eacute;minines, 1 percussionniste, 1 dispositif &eacute;lectronique et 1 lieu &agrave; grande r&eacute;verb&eacute;ration. Entre musique minimaliste et pop &eacute;pur&eacute;, Dix ailes joue sur une illusion acoustique, celle de rendre indistinguable l'origine du son (instrumentale, haut-parlante ou architecturale), &agrave; partir d'un travail sur les harmoniques, les vibrations fr&eacute;quentielles, la r&eacute;sonance physique des lieux, la psycho-acoustique.
Essentiellement centré sur la voix, DIX AILES aborde les notions de vide et de plein, d'écoute interne et de silence, de liminarité et de transformation. Par un principe de composition initiale basé sur les symboles et les archétypes, la musique de DIX AILES fait écho aux rituels et aux mythes universels, et partage avec eux un langage qui tente d'échapper aux enchainements de la logique rationnelle, et ainsi d'ouvrir sur un paysage poétique contemporain, fait d'archaïque et d'invisible.

Wonderbach is born from the meeting of improvisers Marie Takahashi on violin, Yann Joussein on drums, Olivia Scemama on double bass and Manuel Adnot on guitar. Each of them coming from different musical aesthetics ranging from contemporary music, noise, improvised music alternative and abstract, extreme music and from classical and jazz. These diverse influences come together as a singular sound identity, where music circulates in a totally improvised way.
Wonderbach emphasizes the full and generous sound of acoustic instruments, wood, skins, metals, while keeping a tension between a modal universe and a more experimental and austere world. In concert, the music is played without any sound system, emphasizing on the relation to the sound and the body. For their first album, Wonderbach wanted to insist on these characteristics by using a minimum of sound processing, to remain faithful to the sensations of proximity and intimacy that emanate from the band.

WONDERBACH

Wonderbach est la r&eacute;union in&eacute;dite des improvisateurs Marie Takahashi au violon alto, Yann Joussein &agrave; la batterie, Olivia Scemama &agrave; la contrebasse et Manuel Adnot &agrave; la guitare. Ces musiciens proviennent chacun d&rsquo;esth&eacute;tiques diff&eacute;rentes allant des musiques contemporaines, de la noise, des musiques improvis&eacute;es alternatives et abstraites, des musiques extr&ecirc;mes et du classique au jazz. Ces influences diverses se rassemblent autour d&rsquo;une identit&eacute; sonore singuli&egrave;re, o&ugrave; la musique circule de mani&egrave;re totalement improvis&eacute;e.
Wonderbach met l&rsquo;accent sur le son plein et g&eacute;n&eacute;reux des instruments acoustiques, bois, peaux, m&eacute;taux, tout en gardant une tension entre un univers modal et un monde plus exp&eacute;rimental et aust&egrave;re. En concert, la musique est jou&eacute;e sans sonorisation, ramenant en son centre le rapport au son et au corps. Pour ce premier album, les musiciens ont voulu insister sur cette qualit&eacute; caract&eacute;ristique en utilisant un minium de traitement sonore, afin de rester fid&egrave;le aux sensations de proximit&eacute; et d&rsquo;intimit&eacute; qui &eacute;manent du groupe.

BRIBES is the meeting of two improvisers who draw their trajectories on a soundtrack. A resistant membrane is pierced by two needles that advance from one side to the other. The sound object oscillates on a perspective of tangible and suggested planes. The lines of the two musicians cross and move away, stretching and contracting the territory of their music. Powerful bursts of free jazz combine with ethereal atmospheres.

BRIBES est la rencontre de deux improvisateurs qui dessinent leurs trajectoires sur une trame sonore. Une membrane résistante est transpercée par deux aiguilles qui avancent, passant d&rsquo;un côté à l&rsquo;autre. L&rsquo;objet sonore oscille sur une perspective de plans tangibles et suggérés. Les lignes des deux musiciens se croisent et s&rsquo;éloignent, étirant et contractant ainsi le territoire de leur musique. Des éclats puissants de free jazz se combinent à des atmosphères éthérées.

A fairy electric harp sound distorted and distorted, the sensual game of one, then two guitars that sweat of saturation, a keyboard groove in the opposite direction, imperturbable and lyrico-naive saxophonist and trumpet player ... All this small world is led by a chaotic beater a little barbaric, which sign of his pen of pretty melodies with raw accents, fragile and disturbing. Through compositions with simple, jovial and haunting melodies, writing and improvisation come together in a music that combines the "organized" and post-modern free (inspired by Ornette Coleman's prime time and John Zorn's naked city) with progressive rock and disco. The writing is precise when it comes to connect this melodico-rhythmic section to eight heads; freedom is total to provoke a roaring percussive scandal. Ruptures of sounds and shifts of styles succeed and jostle each other in an absolute mastery of the games of each musician who take turns, separate and join, giving rise to a project brimming with enthusiasm, creativity and surprises.

Une harpe électrique féerique au son noise et distordu, le jeu sensuel d&rsquo;une, puis deux guitares qui transpirent de saturation, un clavier qui groove à contre-sens, des imperturbables et lyrico-naïfs saxophoniste et trompettiste... Tout ce petit monde est emmené par un batteur chaotique un peu barbare, qui signe de sa plume de jolies mélopées aux accents bruts, fragiles et troublants.
A travers des compositions aux mélodies simples, joviales et obsédantes, écriture et improvisation se côtoient dans une musique qui allie le free "organisé" et post-moderne (inspirations du prime time d&rsquo;Ornette Coleman et naked city de John Zorn) au rock progressif et à la disco.
L&rsquo;écriture est précise lorsqu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;agit de connecter cette section melodico-rythmique à huit têtes ; la liberté est totale pour provoquer un scandale percussif rugissant.
 
Ruptures de sons et décalages de styles se succèdent et se bousculent dans une maîtrise absolue des jeux de chaque musicien qui se relaient, se séparent et se rejoignent, donnant lieu à un projet débordant d&rsquo;enthousiasme, de créativité et de surprises.

DDJ is a member of the band who adopted an experimental and non-conventional approach to music. Adepts of free rock, rock and jazz and violent electric noise, these musicians sprung from the turbulent Coax collective, are ready to be surprised to hear the audience or to surprise themselves, jumping from an unwedge rock atmosphere to a powerful metal sound to make crowd mosh. In this way, the performance of improvised music for guitar offers a succession of interconnected sonic landscapes. Powerful and overwhelming electrical drones saturate the environment; acoustic resonances liberate and open the space to new colours which enable an internal unfolding, a sensitive and immersive sonic experience.

Christmas carols by a group of young troublemakers! It tickles the imagination.
Imagine a CD featuring thirty musicians (see below), among the finest jazz scene in the making, great adventurers of music ... sticking to the carols! It flourished mercantile betrayal.
&nbsp;
This group was led by Yann Joussein (dms) who provides artistic direction and arrangements (except for the compositions of Eve Risser).
No deception: it was good Christmas themes, plus two acidic compositions of a rickety Eve Risser wishes.
No betrayal: it is indeed a disrespectful music, taking the pretext of this festive period to deliver a powerful music, refreshing, all of humor ... and new! Do not look for an exact placement; it is the opposite that is sought, the shifts, the slippages, the opportunities to improvise within such a sound mass.

Judge with "My beautiful tree" (you say there is a capital S?). Before you hear it, remember a choir of cherubs singing this song ...
And of course, the treatment of these great classics varies from one "song" to another.
A totally offbeat CD, bursting with good humor and talent.

Des chants de No&euml;l par un groupe de jeunes trublions du jazz ! Cela titille l'imagination.
Imaginez un CD regroupant une trentaine de musiciens (voir en bas de page), parmi la fine fleur de la sc&egrave;ne du jazz en devenir, grands aventuriers de la musique ... s'attachant aux chants de No&euml;l ! Cela fleurait la trahison mercantile.

Ce groupe &eacute;tait men&eacute; par Yann Joussein (dms) qui assure la direction artistique et les arrangements (sauf pour les compositions d'Eve Risser).
Pas de tromperie : il s'est bien agit de th&egrave;mes de No&euml;l, plus&nbsp;deux compositions acidul&eacute;es d'une Eve Risser piquante &agrave; souhaits.
Pas de trahison : il s'agit bien d'une musique&nbsp;irrespectueuse, prenant pr&eacute;texte de cette p&eacute;riode festive pour d&eacute;livrer une musique puissante, rafra&icirc;chissante, toute d'humour ... et neuve ! Ne pas chercher une mise en place exacte; c'est le contraire qui est recherch&eacute;, les d&eacute;calages, les d&eacute;rapages, les occasions d'improviser au sein d'une telle masse sonore.
Qu'on en juge avec "Mon beau sapin" (vous dites qu'il y a un S majuscule ?). Avant de l'entendre, souvenez-vous d'un choeur de ch&eacute;rubins entonnant ce chant ...
Et bien &eacute;videmment, le traitement de ces grands classiques varie d'un "chant" &agrave; l'autre.

Created in 2006, Radiation10 is a real mini mutant big band, combining the punch of a small band with the richness of a great orchestra, around an original instrumentation evolving between acoustics and all-electric.

Radiation 10

Cr&eacute;&eacute; en 2006, Radiation10 est un v&eacute;ritable mini big band mutant, associant le punch d&rsquo;une petite formation &agrave; la richesse sonore d&rsquo;un grand orchestre, autour d&rsquo;une instrumentation originale &eacute;voluant entre l&rsquo;acoustique et le tout &eacute;lectrique.
Loin des arch&eacute;types de la musique d&rsquo;ensemble, Radiation10 clame une musique sans leader, sans fronti&egrave;re, o&ugrave; se c&ocirc;toient jazz, rock progressif, musique de chambre, le tout distill&eacute; dans un alambic improvisatoire.

Member of the famous collective Coax (probably the most creative laboratory of musicians in France) and some famous groups that matter (Rearview mirror, DDJ, ...) Yann Joussein proposes his new project here.
 
More than a drum solo it's mostly a drummer solo that he offers with the radical desire to go beyond his instrument, without concessions! We find what made the originality of Mirror and what he likes in his musical models (Square Puscher or AphexTwin): the taste of sound atmospheres a little wild, rich in electric tears and rhythmic chaos lightning. In disc this project is called maliciously "Seal disemboweled", in "live" it is clearly less barbaric and especially it is the discovery of a sound universe unheard and strongly original.

PHOQUE EVENTRE (Yann Joussein)

Membre du fameux collectif Coax (probablement le laboratoire de musiciens le plus créatif de l&rsquo;Hexagone ) et de quelques fameux groupes qui comptent (Rétroviseur, DDJ,&hellip;) Yann Joussein propose ici son nouveau projet. 
Plus qu&rsquo;un solo de batterie c&rsquo;est surtout un solo de batteur qu&rsquo;il offre avec le désir radical de dépasser son instrument, sans concessions ! On y retrouve ce qui faisait l&rsquo;originalité de Rétroviseur et ce qu&rsquo;il aime dans ses modèles musicaux(Square Puscher ou AphexTwin): le goût des ambiances sonores un peu sauvages, riches en déchirures électriques et en chaos rythmiques fulgurants. En disque ce projet se nomme méchamment « Phoque éventré », en «live » c&rsquo;est nettement moins barbare et surtout c&rsquo;est la découverte d&rsquo;un univers sonore inouï et fortement original.
Yann Joussein est l&rsquo;un des jeunes musiciens français les plus prometteurs !

MeTaL-O-PHoNe is a French experimental pre-jazz trio. Distortion, feedback, delay. All of them have their own property of guitarists and their use of intriguing possibilities across the instrumental spectrum.
&nbsp;
In applying them to the vibraphone, Benjamin Filament has found its way into the heart of an instrument so often typecast as polite and mannered.
&nbsp;
The bright colors have a way to darker matter, with ambiguous pitches and ambiguous pitches, and spiritually connecting the vibes to their distant relative like the Javanese gamelan, Tibetan singing bowls and African thumb pianos.
&nbsp;
The other two thirds of MeTaL-O-PHoNe respond accordingly, and bassist Joachim Florent and drummer Elie Duris give no quarter in creating a swirling tempest of rhythms and textures that is perfectly in sync with this altered percussive landscape.

Collective created in 2008, Coax brings together about twenty artists around a common axis: creation, booking, organization and production of protean projects / objects (performances, festivals, parties, tours, curation, label, radio ...) within a sustainable cultural ecosystem. Presentation

Collectif créé en 2008, Coax réunit une vingtaine d&rsquo;artistes autour d&rsquo;un axe commun : la création, la diffusion, l&rsquo;organisation et la production de projets/objets protéiformes (performances, festivals, soirées, tournées, curation, label, radio...) au sein d&rsquo;un écosystème culturel durable. Depuis sa création, Coax n&rsquo;a eu de cesse de se construire une identité artistique forte et transversale autour des musiques de création, croisant les esthétiques et les disciplines en dépassant les traditionnels clivages de genre.
Au travers de son activité de producteur/diffuseur, du développement d&rsquo;actions culturelles et d&rsquo;échanges artistiques auprès de publics variés, Coax est devenu au fil des années un acteur reconnu de la création musicale au niveau régional, national et international, évoluant à la croisée de plusieurs réseaux : musiques expérimentales, performance, rock, noise, jazz/musiques improvisées, musiques contemporaines, musiques électroniques. Il crée des ponts entre les lieux dits alternatifs et institutionnels et favorise ainsi le mélange des publics.

If free jazz and rock were his first musical loves, he was quickly drawn toward more open artistic forms that disregard aesthetic boundaries and leave space for improvisation. Today, he approaches the guitar more as a drum set, an organ, a flexible and expandable instrument.

SIMON HENOCQ (Electronics, guitar, improviser, composer)
Mainly self-taught, his approach deliberately exists outside of any genre classification, while expressing a strong affinity for free and radical music. A guitarist, electroacoustic artist, installation designer, and artistic producer, he observes, diverts, and reinvents instruments and electronic lutherie objects to create intense and singular performances where sonic experimentation plays a central role.

Graduated from the CNSM in 2008 and awarded at the La Défense National Competition in 2010 and 2011, his music lies within an experimental approach combining extended drum techniques and electronic music.

Si le free-Jazz et le rock ont été ses premiers amours musicaux, il a été très vite attiré vers des formes artistiques plus libres faisant fi des barrières esthétiques et laissant la place à l&rsquo;improvisation. Aujourd'hui il envisage la guitare plutôt comme une batterie, un orgue, un instrument modifiable et déployable à souhait.

Principalement autodidacte, sa démarche se situe volontairement hors de toute classification de genre, tout en exprimant un goût affirmé pour les musiques libres et radicales.
